Founded from a deep passion for hospitality, culture, and unforgettable experiences, Cello Events was established by Mazen Alshaar, a hospitality professional with more than 20 years of international industry experience across the Middle East, Dubai, and Canada.
Mazen began his hospitality journey in 2005 in the Middle East, continuing his career development in Dubai in 2008 before bringing his expertise to Ottawa, Canada in 2018.
His experience spans every level of the hospitality industry — from restaurant operations and food service to hotel management, event planning, banquet hall development, and executive operations management. This hands-on background has shaped Cello Events into a company built on professionalism, creativity, operational excellence, and attention to detail.

Over the years, Cello Events has organized and managed cultural productions, concerts, weddings, corporate gatherings, nonprofit events, and private celebrations. We are proud to be one of the founding forces behind the Cello Band and the Symphonita Orchestra, producing large-scale musical performances in Canada’s leading theatres — with audiences exceeding 500 guests per event and featuring internationally recognized artists brought from overseas.
